She is a Post graduate in psychology (university silver medalist), with a one year full time PG Diploma in Guidance & Counseling from the Dept of Educational Psychology & Foundations of Education, NCERT New Delhi.
It was during the course of the hands-on training at NCERT, that she discovered her forte for establishing rapport with even the most reluctant and unwilling clients; whence she successfully established a counselor client relationship with a 15 year old delinquent boy who the teachers were wary of and had clearly given up on.
This went on to be the first of many successful 'connects' to follow and a remarkably high degree of client satisfaction marks her professional career as a Career Counselor and Rogerian Psychotherapist.
She started her career, by launching the 'Crime Home Children' Project, for India Vision Foundation, an NGO headed by Dr Kiran Bedi. Subsequently, post her marriage to an army officer, she went on to gather a rather varied work experience as she travelled across the country, with her husband on his postings. Over the years, she gained experience as a Psychotherapist, Psychometrician, Career counselor, Life skills trainer & Motivational speaker.
The expanse of her experience in Guidance & Counseling is vast and versatile. She has conducted personal counseling sessions for 5 year olds to senior citizens,
